JAMES W. SHORE, M.D.
A native of Obion County, Dr.
Shore is a graduate of the
University of Tennessee in
Memphis. He served his
internship at Baroness Erlanger
Hospital in Chattanooga. Dr.
Shore served as a physician of
the US Army for three years.
Dr. Shore joined Martin Medical
Center, P.C. in 1967. He has
hospital admitting privileges at
Volunteer Community Hospital. He
is an active member of the
Tennessee Medical Association
and the Northwest Tennessee
Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Shore and his wife Emily
have three children and six
grandchildren. He is an active
member of Martin Church of
Christ. He enjoys golfing,
gardening, and spending time
with his family.

ANNA K. HOPLA, M.D.
A native of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, Dr. Anna Hopla is a
graduate of the University of
Oklahoma. She spent two years in
an Internal Medicine residency,
followed by a two-year
fellowship in Nephrology at the
University of Oklahoma. Dr.
Hopla is Board certified in by
the American Board of Internal
Medicine.
Dr. Hopla has a strong
Nephrology based practice in the
community. She has staff
privileges at Volunteer
Community Hospital and Baptist
Memorial Hospital. She serves as
medical director at Fresenious
Medical Center, both in Martin
and Union City. She is an active
member of the American Medical
Association, National Kidney
Foundation, and the American
College of Physicians.
Dr. Hopla and her husband Robert
have one child. She is an avid
animal lover. She enjoys
horseback riding, hiking,
travel, and spending time with
her family.

SUSAN S. LOWRY, M.D.
A native of Martin, Dr. Susan
Lowry is a graduate of East
Tennessee State University in
Johnson City. She served a
three-year residency at UT
Family Practice in Jackson. Dr.
Lowry is Board certified by the
American Board of Family
Physicians.
Dr. Lowry joined Martin Medical
Center in 1997. Dr. Lowry has
staff privileges at Volunteer
Community Hospital and
Healthsouth Cane Creek
Rehabilitation Hospital. She is
an active member of the American
Medical Association, Tennessee
Medical Association, and the
American Academy of Family
Physicians.
Dr. Lowry and her husband Bill
have three children. She is an
active member of the Martin
Church of Christ. She enjoys
spending time with her family
and traveling.

WALTER F. FLETCHER, M.D.
A native of Martin, TN, although
born in Long Beach, California,
Dr. Walter Fletcher is a
graduate of the University of
Tennessee at Memphis. He served
a two-year residency at UT
Family Practice in Jackson. Dr.
Fletcher is Board certified by
the American Board of Family
Physicians.
Dr. Fletcher joined Family
Physicians of Lexington in 1996.
After 11 years of practice he
decided to move his family and
practice home to Martin. He
joined Martin Medical Center,
P.C. in 2008. He has staff
privileges at Volunteer
Community Hospital. He is an
active member of the American
Medical Association, Tennessee
Medical Association. American
Academy of Family Physicians and
the Tennessee Academy of Family
Physician.
Dr. Fletcher had his wife Heidi
have three children. He is an
active leader of the Boy Scouts.
Dr. Fletcher enjoys camping,
hiking, sailing, and spending
time with his family.
